Think Like Jesus, by George Barna *
What is biblical perspective on life? To put it simply, Barna says, it is a "way of
dealing with the world so that we act like Jesus, twenty-four hours a day, because
we think like Jesus. It’s like wearing a pair of eyeglasses that enable us to see
things differently, to see things from God’s point of view, and to respond to these
perceptions in the way He prescribes."
Leading Cross-Culturally, by Sherwood Lingenfelter *
Sherwood Lingenfelter helps the reader understand his or her own leadership
culture (and its blind spots), examine it critically in light of Scripture, and become an
effective learner of other cultural perspectives on leadership. He also confronts the
issues of power inherent in any leadership situation. Lingenfelter carefully defines
cross-cultural leadership and unpacks that definition throughout the book, with an
emphasis on building communities of vision, trust, and empowerment through
leadership based on biblical principles. In the end, he argues that leaders must
inhabit the gospel story to be effective cross-culturally.
The Character of Leadership, by Jeff Iorg *
This book takes a closer look at nine important personal qualities which every
great ministry and business leader must develop for a lifetime of effective service.
The Book on Leadership, by John MacArthur *
MacArthur shows that leadership does not come from a job title. It isn't a matter of
personality or charisma, and it isn't just authority. Based on the works of the
apostle Paul, this study will help you find the characteristics of a true leader.
Margin, by Richard Swenson, MD *
Swenson provides a prescription against the danger of overloaded lives. Focusing
on margin in four key areas, he offers an overall picture of health that employs

expanded version of the book explores the challenges and benefits that TCKs
encounter.
Missionary Methods: St. Paul's or Ours, by Roland Allen *
Profoundly biblical, Allen's "methods" are drawn from a scrupulous examination of
Paul the apostle's own principles for missionary work. He argues that these
apostolic principles--founded on an unwavering belief in the Holy Spirit indwelling
new believers and churches--are as relevant today as they were in the formative
years of the church.
The Great Omission, by Steve Saint
Steve Saint shows how missions strategies have unwittingly harmed the
indigenous church by creating dependencies and failing to include the local
believers in the work of the church.
